Today I'm inspired once again by Centsational Girl's blog, and specifically her post on September Decor. Stranded at home with a sick child, Kate took the opportunity to gather up items from around her house and decorate for fall using things she already had. The results, as always from Kate, are fabulous, and they were free since she already owned all the items she used. I've been getting the itch to do some autumn decorating myself -- something about Halloween decor available in stores makes me want to slather my house in browns and burnt orange and nestle pumpkins and candles on the mantle. I'll take a cue from Centsational Girl on this one and spend a couple of days digging through what I already have to see if I can inject a little fall into my own home. Gotta love free and fabulous -- it saves money and is great for the environment by not buying more unneeded stuff! So a challenge to you -- can you find some new ways to use items you already have to inject a little autumn coziness into your home?

I can't get into Fall until it dips below 90 for more than 10 minutes. I'll play then, I promise.
What lovely compliments ! Thanks so much. How is your decorating adventure going?
Thanks so much for the mention !

Hi Kate! Thanks for stopping by! I ended up with a sick kid of my own, so I spent some time digging around and found some beautiful stuff to use, along with another set of fall-color cushion covers I recently made, and then I *did* hit the store to grab a couple of packages of mini pumpkins, pine cones and mini gourds to fill in the gaps. It's fall festive already! I'll post about my decorating soon!
